Getting Started

This is the moment of truth. First things first, start up Apache.

# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl startssl

or

# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start

if you did not choose to install mod_ssl.

Now access the Asgard Site by typing www.mydomain.com:8102/asgard in the browser. When prompted, enter "admin" as the username and "password" as the password. And you should now have access to Midgard. To access the old Example Site, simply enter www.mydomain.com:8099/example in the browser. This is not password protected. To access the old Midgard Admin Site type www.mydomain.com:8101/admin in the browser. When prompted, enter "admin" as the username and "password" as the password. And you should now have access to Midgard.

The first thing you should do is to change the admin password. Click on Group Admin. The actual steps will depend on which administration interface you are using.

OK so much for installation. If you have any suggestions to share with us, please do not hesitate to e-mail Marius Ndemeno Tegomoh at mntegomoh@stthomas.edu. Any heavy duty technical questions should be addressed to the Midgard Mailing list at user@midgard-project.org.
